So much food and fun this week at our LAST INDOOR MARKET!

The sun-dappled berries of spring and early summer are so close I can almost taste them. Almost. For now, we have to make do with the organic raspberry puree that can be found in La Petite Occasion’s VEGAN raspberry caramel. Customers are always asking Pastry chef Michele Kim for vegan options so she figured out how to make a caramel that’s coconut based without any butter, cream or milk and she is quite pleased with the outcome.

Letterbox Farm is bringing gorgeous greens to wilt and pork and robust chickens to roast.

Your favorite market manager, Rose, just celebrated her birthday in New Orleans so I’m sure she’ll be full of kitchen inspiration should you need some!

And, if you are planning a seder this weekend, here is some brisket inspiration from Food52.

Linh and Yen from VN To GO  are back this week with some beef and chicken pho to warm the soul and bones.

mesclunBlack Creek Farm will be bringing their just cut mesclun on Saturday.

And our favorite urban troubadour, Milton, will be bringing his soulful tunes indoors.

We have a great activity planned for kids – a reading of Strega Nona by local actor/teacher Julie Griffin as well as a corresponding cooking demo with Marti Wolfson who is bringing her bottomless pasta pot.

And while the children are occupied, why not get adorned by Brooklyn henna artist Amy White making a guest appearance this week.

We go back outside, and to our weekly schedule, on May 12th. Can’t wait!

See you at the market!
