Position 1
Assistant - rotating Saturdays
Each season the Chappaqua Farmers Market offers eligible high school and college students the opportunity to apply for paid market positions. Applicants must be outgoing self-starters. Good communication skills are a must. You are an ambassador of the market and it is vital that you greet patrons and vendors with a smile and energetic attitude.

Compensation:
$120 per Saturday

Structure of Assistant position:​

Every Saturday from May til mid December
-
7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m

Orientation meeting with On-site Market Manager and CFM board members prior to start of first market
Job Specs:
-
Set-up assigned areas before the start of the market day (must be able to lift 50 lbs and move market equipment)

Participate in sales at the info booth
-
Assist vendors with set-up and assistance during the market

Provide information to vendors and market shoppers

Support the Market Manager with day of operations

Keep info booth neat and organized
-
Assist with closing market each Saturday

Maintain market appearance and organization
-
Assist board members with market initiatives such as sustainability, composting, etc.

Must be able to lift and assemble heavy items, such as tents

Open Position 2
Signage distribution
We are looking for someone to put out and pick up sandwich board market signs at various locations in Chappaqua each week prior to the Saturday market
​
Signs are put out on Thursdays or Fridays and picked up after the market either on Saturdays or Sundays.
​
All signs are housed in our POD at the Chappaqua Train Station.
​
Total signs: 5
​
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license and have access to a car.
​
