Celebrate Community

Wow! Last week’s market was a true testament to our vendors’ dedication—rain or shine, they arrive ready to bring you their best. Many thanks to our intrepid shoppers, too. The market is truly a team effort. That said, let’s dive into what’s in store for this Saturday.

Storytime Returns! Calling all parents and their little ones. Join us at 10 AM on the market green for a delightful storytime session. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the market. Grab yourself a Cano Coffee cold brew to sip while the kiddos are entranced.

Let’s celebrate corn and zucchini! Find almost everything you’ll need for this Summer Pasta with Zucchini, Ricotta, and Basil dish. Start with pasta from La Trafila, add zucchini, corn, and basil from your favorite farmer, and ricotta (or maybe change it up with smoked ricotta?) from Maplebrook Farm Creamery. Or pull together plump and juicy market tomatoes with just-shucked corn for this Pan Roasted Corn and Tomato Salad.

Peaches are the latest seasonal fruit offering from the Hudson Valley’s fertile soil. Surely that’s a reason to celebrate; and what's a celebration without cake? Pick up peaches from Caradonna Farm or Mead Orchards for this Peach Upside Down Cake.

Obercreek Farm and Fresh Meadow Farms are bringing their renowned greens, including Hot Shot Mustard Mix and Swiss Chard. Pair any (or all!) of them with sweet carrots and peaches from Caradonna or Mead Orchards for the ultimate summer salad. Drizzle with Arlotta Food Studio Garlic Infused Olive Oil and shower with sea salt.

Need a pick-me-up for your Sunday brunch? Try Bloody Good Mud, a locally-sourced and created Bloody Mary mix. Available in regular or spicy, it’s just about perfect with Two Sisters Vodka from Springbrook Hollow Distilleries. Celery should be making an appearance at the market, too. Bottoms up!

AYA Hummus returns with her healthful and delicious hummus selection including seasonal specials such as Cucumber Lemon Mint, Pickle, Garlic Scape, and more. The Cracker Workshop is also returning; we think pairing an AYA Hummus with Annie’s buttermilk crackers is the perfect appetizer or mid-afternoon snack.

Ready, Set, Sharp alert! Don’t let dull knives spoil your cooking mojo. Visit Matt for professional knife sharpening. Pro tip, drop your knives off first thing and Matt will sharpen your knives, pruning shears, scissors, and lawn mower blades while you shop.

Music is by Jon Cobert and Dough Nation will be crafting artisanal pizzas. We’re here to make your weekend fresh and delicious.

See you at the market!
