It's going to be downright festive at the market this Saturday with holiday tunes, hot cider and lots of handmade gift options to take some of the stress out of shopping this year.
No supply chain issues here! Let's start with the foodies on your list:
Larchmont Charcuterie is putting together gift baskets for that special someone who has a hankering for cured meats. The baskets come with a classic Opinel pocket knife, which Daniel also sells separately for the perfect stocking stuffer.
We are so happy to bring Marcelina Orange Treats to the market for the first time. Her specialty? Bitter Cara Cara orange peels dipped in dark chocolate, in small and larger size bags. Perfect to bring to a party or to give to the neighbor who picks up your mail when you're away. She also makes a superb orange marmalade both regular and spicy, so delicious - and surprising - on a cheese board.
La Petite Occasion is bringing festively wrapped bags of caramels, fresh off their Gold Medal win at the International Chocolate Salon. Their Coconut Raspberry caramel won for Best Ingredient Combination in the Best Caramels of 2021 Awards. They also won an HONORABLE MENTION in 3 other categories: Best Caramel Exterior Design, Best Taste, and Most Unique.Well done, Michele!
Chocolate guru Shimon of Raw Chocolate Love is bringing organic raw chocolate in festive holiday boxes. Who wouldn't want to find one of his brighlty-wrapped chocolate bars in one of their stockings? Blondery's assorted blondies in their chic black box, make great host/hostess gifts.
Hodgins Harvest has prettily-packaged mushroom "grow kits" for the mycologist on your list.
Which foodie doesn't need a proper cutting board or mezza luna? American Bow Knife is back with her kitchen tools hand-crafted from local wood.
Rose Swan Pottery is here for the first time. Rose's work is truly stunning and I guarantee that you will be able to knock off several people on your list in her tent alone, and you won't be able to resist buying something for yourself (guilty as charged, I now own the prettiest sea-green berry bowl to wash my market fruit).
Ztudio Zsa Zsa will also be there with a dizzying assortment of comfortable, reversible masks and cool, well-made tote bags in pretty and playful fabrics..
All this, and your last chance to pick up some steaming paella at the market from Spain at Home.
Caradonna Farms will be bringing hot cider and we are so happy to welcome the Mike Risko Music School Band. They will be singing holiday tunes from 10 to 11.
Spirits make great gifts, too. Especially brandy and botanical gin made with local apples from Neversink Spirits. Manor Sangria is unveiling their large size Mason jars of Classic and Holiday Sangria – literally a party in a jar.
This is your last chance to get your knives sharpened for the year. Sharpening your set of wedding knives is a pretty thoughtful gift, IMO.
See you at the market!
